When I was younger reading was 100% my thing. I had shelves and shelves of book collections that I read every night. I don't know why but as I got older I lost touch with reading as I couldn't find a book I was properly into. Most of the time I would start reading a book but would never finish it. My sister Lucy, unlike me is a book worm. If she starts reading a book she's into, she won't stop until she's finished. Unfortunately, I have the concentration span of a gnat which is really, REALLY frustrating. I honestly wished I had the same focus and passion for it.

However, recently my boyfriend Tyler, gave me access to his Audible account and told me to read some books that he said, and I quote "changed his life". The first book I read was 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki. When I took the bus to college I put in my headphones and just listened to it. Honestly, the way he describes people's attitudes towards money astounded me. You know when someone says something and a light bulb goes off in your head because you can relate to that situation? Well, that was me. If you haven't already read this book then I totally recommend it. It's really given me the excitement to listen to more books; which is a feeling I haven't felt in a while.

There's so many more he's suggested I read too. Even some podcasts like 'The Strangest Secret and This I Believe: How to Live the Life You Desire' are totally worth a listen. The current book I'm listening to whilst I do my morning routine is 'The Secrets of a Millionaire Mind' by T. Harv Eker which is a complete mindset changer. It has honestly changed my level of thinking about money, success and careers.

One that I really need to listen to is 'Miracle Morning' as, like any other teen, my mornings normally consist of moping around and drinking lots of coffee with little productivity. On that note, it's time to make some yummy coffee and kick start my day.

Thanks for reading,

Love, Sophie 🐻
