Hi all, hope you're well.

For my new years resolution I have decided to write a blog post documenting every month to look back on in December. I thought it would be a great way to see my progress and growth, as well the things I still need to improve and focus on. To be honest, I can't believe I'm actually semi-on time posting a blog! My consistency with my blog has been lacking big time over the last couple years, which is why I thought it would be great to make it a resolution. (Whether I stick to it or not...we will see 👀)

The last month has been a weird one. I think because of the lockdown announcement after Christmas the days are seeming to go by slower because I feel so desperate for life to be normal again. I know you shouldn't wish your life away but I really just can't wait to see my family again and go out for meals and road trips. (I think we can all agree on this)

The only event to happen in January was my sausage son's birthday on the 2nd, which I was weirdly excited for. I know that will sound stupid to most of you but it was a great excuse to be silly and fun. We made him a burger birthday cake and wrapped up a present for him which he can entertainingly open himself.

Business-wise, we've been super productive. Tyler and I decided that in 2021 we wanted to focus solely on the growth of the business which means that December and January consisted of a lot of product and supplier research. We've been in contact with a bag designer who's designing various new bags for us as well as a pattern designer who's drawing out the cutest patterns for textile products. It's super exciting and we're both really looking forward to what 2021 brings. It's done a lot for my confidence too as I've had to do things I've never done before like reaching out to factories on Alibaba and having my first business call!

Something I've also started is yoga. I do it every morning using an app called 'Down Dog'. I definitely recommend this if you're a beginner like me, or even if you're an intermediate and just want some direction. You can pick and choose what kinda vibe you have and it's brilliant. It's made me stretchier, stronger and is now part of my daily morning routine. Annoyingly Tyler is now somehow stretchier than me even though we've been doing it for the same amount of time 🥲

Apart from that, it's been a lot of cooking, eating naughty food and going for walks. Unlike many places around the UK we've had pretty much no snow. An odd dusting here and there but nothing that you can pick up and chuck at someone, but I appreciate the winter walks regardless.

Normally, I have the post-Christmas blues in January but this year I've realised that every month has something to offer and this month it's been time; time to think and plan for the exciting times ahead and for that, I am very grateful.

See you at the end of February!

Thanks for reading,

Sophie 🐻
